About the Job
We are looking for a 310B Journeyman Auto Body Repair Technician to work on Heavy Trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and replace body components, doors, suspension/driveline components, and underbody components.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs.
  • Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling.

Working Conditions:
  • Full time, occasional overtime required depending on project.
  • Indoors, noisy, dusty.
  • Exposure to dust and fumes.
  • Working with sharp metals and power tools Skills and Abilities.
  • Proper lifting techniques to handle heavy tools and parts (up to 50lbs).
  • Dexterity and hand skills to perform technical repairs.
  • Creativity, patience and eye for detail.
  • Good colour vision.
  • Knowledge of plastics, electronics, metals, finishes and vehicle systems.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience as an Auto Body Technician.
  • Journeyman Certification as a 310B Auto Body Repair Technician.
  • Strong understanding of automotive body repair, panel work, and structural repairs.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency.
